Keeping up with all your accustomed activities is important to you. You don’t want hot flashes intruding on your day, or night sweats interrupting your sleep. NicoDerm CQ (GlaxoSmithKline)


This series of ads illustrates the internal struggle of those trying to quit smoking.

You want to stop smoking. But your body and your brain are used to having a steady supply of nicotine. When you quit, nicotine withdrawal symptoms will set in, causing intense cravings. 


NicoDerm CQ is a nicotine patch that’s a form of Therapeutic Nicotine, which means it provides nicotine to your system. It works as a temporary aid to help you quit smoking by reducing nicotine withdrawal symptoms until your body no longer needs nicotine.

In 2006, I designed a new logo for SI Group as part of their global rebranding initiative.
SI Group is a global producer of alkylphenols, phenolic resins, and other chemical intermediates.
SI Group’s resins are used in the coatings that touch our lives on a daily basis. From kids’ paint to household enamels to traffic paint, they’ve got you covered.

Point-of-Sale for High Falls Brewing Company


For High Falls Brewing Company, I developed concepts, directed photo shoots, and was responsible for laying out all print advertising, point of sales displays, billboards and out of home advertising.
High Falls Brewing Company is based in Rochester, New York and is one of the largest and oldest continually operating breweries in the United States. High Falls is best known for its historic Genesee line of brands as well as its Dundee Ales.
Among the brands I supported were Genesee Beer, Genesee Cream Ale, Genny Light, Honey Brown, 12 Horse Ale.

LEVITRA Challenge Campaign (GlaxoSmithKline)


For the launch of Levitra, I was tasked with creating the Levitra Challenge logo and directing a photo shoot which captured a realistic image of the ED sufferer.

By illustrating LEVITRA’s ability to help treat ED patients with comorbid conditions, Palio and the brand team were able to identify a vast target of subsegments and make a significant inroad into differentiating the brand from its competition.

Connecting ED to its associated comorbidities, or underlying causes, was not only key to cueing up LEVITRA as the optimal choice for select patients, it made the discussion around ED easier for patients and physicians alike. No longer was ED just ED; it was a symptom of other related conditions and metabolic disorders, something patients are more comfortable hearing and something physicians are more likely to talk about with their patients.

The results of the campaign were extremely positive: LEVITRA gained market share, and the LEVITRA sales force was reignited and unified behind a smart, solid positioning. In fact, the competition had to block the progress LEVITRA was making within these defined populations.

PGA Distinguished Service Award


The PGA Distinguished Service Award is given annually and honors outstanding individuals who display leadership and humanitarian qualities, including integrity, sportsmanship and enthusiasm for the game of golf.
I was honored to design the invitations and program for this event.

Provigil Fog Campaign (Cephalon)


PROVIGIL is a prescription medicine used to improve wakefulness in adults who experience excessive sleepiness (ES) due to sleep disorders.
Palio and Cephalon developed a campaign to legitimize the condition with physicians and enhance the understanding of the condition and the benefits of Provigil. The “fog” insight paved the way for a new series of messages and creative concepts for Provigil, and led to the creation of an entirely new portfolio of marketing tools.
The campaign has won numerous awards and Provigil achieved blockbuster status in 2008 with sales reaching over $1 billion.

Albany Ad Club 2008 NORI Awards Program


The Albany Ad Club’s 35th Annual Awards Ceremony and “Old Timers” Reunion, held at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium in Troy on Friday, June 6th, was a major league hit! Over 300 people attended the event, feasting on a bar-b-que buffet and ballpark refreshments.
